A Passion For Art

The following paintings are renditions of energy aura and sub-concious emotion. In a sense, they are a visual metaphor of my family, an ethnically mixed group brought together by this culture clash existence that the United States percolates in. A cloud of uncertain passion that my ancestors past away and community present guide me through. In short, they are a veritable mix of tradition and technology, the speed of the human spirit and the life of color. Most of my pieces are concoctions of acrylic, latex, oil based paints, inks, papers, metal leafs, aerosol paint and airbrush on canvas. Growing up in the Portland street art scene, many dynamic tensions have evolved themselves into abstract collages of faded foreign fonts, definitive graphic linework, corroded metallics and drop-shadowed layers. I am also an illustrator and graphic designer, working with independent label musicians, small businesses and community based organizations along the west coast.

Between 2001 to 2011, I’ve been featured in over 50 gallery and non-traditional venue exhibitions in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado and Nevada.
